Who I Am

Therapy is personal— let me show up that way, too.

Who I Am

Hi, I’m Kiana Winter (she/her) — a student nurse, student clinical hypnotherapist, writer, and someone who believes healing should feel human, not clinical. My practice is built for those who’ve felt unseen or misunderstood in traditional care. If talk therapy didn’t work for you, if you’ve ever been dismissed, if you’ve felt like just a file number—I built this space with you in mind.

I specialize in supporting people navigating complex, repressed, or recent trauma, neurodivergence, PCOS, eating disorders, grief, chronic pain, anxiety, and complex emotional landscapes. I’m also the author of Howl If You Hear Me—a raw, reflective book on generational trauma, healing, and the power of reclaiming your story - set to release August 2025.

A Few Human Things About Me

🫖 Tea over coffee, always. Add honey and lemon and I’m in heaven.
🎶 Music is medicine. My partner plays guitar, and we sing together. Magic is in the melodies we create. I believe in the healing power music holds.
🐾 Dog lover for life. We’re welcoming a border collie puppy soon! My late dogs Blue and Ozzie are forever part of my heart, and both had border blood in their veins.
🎨 Creative to the core. I paint, sing, play many instruments, write, take photos, (the camera was my first love) do makeup, and believe beauty is part of healing, however you define it. I like to define it with cameras, glitter, and wigs.
🌊 Sensory-friendly is non-negotiable. My space includes blankets, fidgets, soft lighting, projectors, diffusers, incense, and always zero judgment.
📚 Bookworm with a neuroscience obsession. I’m fascinated by the brain, neuroplasticity, and the ways our stories shape healing. I’m fascinated with how our mind has the power to create transformative change in record time.
📍 East Coast transplant, Island rooted. Vancouver Island is home. Always will be, there is something about the mountains and the ocean in harmony that just sings to my heart.
🚗 Lover of long drives. If I’m not home, I’m probably chasing sunsets or thrift stores, camera in hand with the people I love and the fur babies I adore exploring the world one shot at a time.
🍟 Potatoes and cheese are love languages. I could talk about both for hours, shamelessly. I grew up in the land of the potato, what can I say?
💬 Deep listener. Curious heart. I ask thoughtful questions, take a lot of notes, and remember the little things because they matter - and in my care, it’s my goal to have you realize how much you matter to yourself. Self care isn’t selfish.
🧼 Fragrance nerd. I love beautiful smells—scents that ground, calm, or transport us to somewhere our memories remind us to smile. For me, that’s theatre popcorn or peppermint tea.
🧠 Trauma-informed + LGBTQ2S+ affirming. You are safe to show up exactly as you are and I’ll honour your story.
🔒 Confidentiality is sacred. I hold your story with care, respect, and deep responsibility that comes with being bound by ARCH Canada and the BCCNM.

If you’re looking for a space that feels softer, slower, safer—where your story is honoured and your healing is led by you—I’d be honoured to explore it with you.

If you love deep chats, unexpected laughter, and someone who can talk about trauma, tea, and cheese with equal enthusiasm—you might’ve just found your person.

Let’s make healing feel a little more human.

I can’t wait to get to know you!

Until then,

💛💛Happy Healing 💛💛
