Welcome to Science Meets Mind - Clinical Hypnotherapy

Welcome. I’m so glad you’re here.

Science Meets Mind is my clinical approach to healing—rooted in neuroscience, grounded in ethics, and guided by evidence-based practices that work. I started this practice because I saw how often people were dismissed, misdiagnosed, or unsupported by systems that focused only on symptoms instead of the person behind them.

As a student nurse and registered clinical hypnotherapy student, I wanted to create a space where people could access meaningful, science-backed support that respects both the complexity of the brain and the practicality of real life. This is a place for people who want results and care. Structure and flexibility. Proven tools and creativity.

In my practice, creativity isn't just pretty colors, wet paint or fluff —it's neuroscience. Whether we're using metaphor, music, imagery, movement, or art, the research is clear: creative processes light up the brain in ways that support emotional regulation, trauma processing, and long-term behavioural change. That's why I use them, because they’ve been proven to work, and often they’re fun.

Science Meets Mind is not a philosophy. It’s my methodology and the practice I’m developing is built to support you.

What My Logo Means

My logo isn’t just a design—it’s a reflection of everything Science Meets Mind stands for. Every symbol carries a story, a memory, and a deep intention:

🧠 The Brain
Represents the clinical foundation of this work—neuroscience, regulation, and our brain’s incredible ability to rewire and heal. It reflects the structured, evidence-based roots of hypnotherapy and trauma recovery.

🌸 The Flowers
Each flower honors someone I carry with me:

  • Lupins for my East Coast roots—resilient, wild, and beautiful in their own time.

  • Blue poppies for Blue, my heart dog, who gave me unwavering loyalty and taught me what it meant to be soft and safe.

  • Forget-me-nots for Ozzie, whose quiet companionship reminded me to hold space for stillness and grief.

  • Yellow roses for Mama E—the woman who helped raise me, shape me, and love me in the most foundational ways. Her presence is still woven into everything I do. I miss her every single day, and these roses are my way of keeping her close.

🦋 The Butterflies
For transformation—the real kind. The messy kind. The kind that asks you to dissolve before you rebuild. Becoming isn’t clean or linear, but it’s sacred. Just like healing, it happens in the in-between.

🎨 The Paintbrush & Neon Colors
Creativity isn’t a bonus here—it’s a core part of how we heal. Art and imagination have always been part of how humans express, integrate, and survive. Creative expression lights up parts of our brain that no other method reaches. Whether we’re using metaphor, visualization, storytelling, or drawing with your non-dominant hand—creativity is woven into this practice because it’s essential to healing.Choosing to begin this kind of work takes courage. Whether you're here to unpack something specific, manage chronic stress or pain, recover from trauma, or simply explore how your mind works—this practice was built with you in mind.

What Science Meets Mind Stands For

Science Meets Mind is a trauma-informed, evidence-based clinical hypnotherapy practice—designed and operated solely by me. Every session is personalized. Every protocol is chosen based on research and your specific goals. Whether you're navigating chronic pain, trauma recovery, anxiety, emotional regulation, or burnout, the methods I use are grounded in neuroscience and adapted to you.

This isn’t one-size-fits-all therapy. This is structured, ethical, creative care—built around your nervous system, your preferences, and your lived experience. Some sessions use guided imagery and metaphor. Others focus on sensory processing, desensitization, or hypnotic techniques supported by current research. Homework might be drawing, reflecting through color, going for a walk with your dog, or simply thinking in a way you haven’t before. It’s personal. It’s gentle. And it’s intentionally different from what hasn’t worked in the past.At Science Meets Mind, you can expect care with me that is intelligent, ethical, and research-informed. You will never be asked to "just relax" or "think positively." Instead, you’ll be offered real tools, clinical support, and a therapeutic relationship rooted in respect, privacy, and collaboration.

You don’t have to believe in hypnotherapy for it to work.
You just have to be willing to try.

If you're ready to begin, I’m here to walk with you—step by step, at your pace, using methods that make sense and make a difference.

Your mind holds the map. We discover it together.

Welcome to Science Meets Mind.

I am so glad you’re here.
